Our Mission Statement

“To provide quality theatrical training and experiences to the children and teens of Contra Costa County, while fostering and nurturing their desire to imagine and create.”

The instructors and staff of Playground Theatre Company have all been involved with theatre since a very young age and believe that experiences in the arts foster and develop many skills that aren’t necessarily exclusively related to theatre. We believe that kids are getting less and less time to be kids and we want to provide a safe, nurturing environment where they can experiment and imagine.

Theatre is our passion and we delight in the experience of teaching and sharing such an important creative outlet with the next generation.
